Awesome! Jeremy at PRD Performance in Kya Sands
« on: June 02, 2016, 05:34:09 PM »
Since I bought my stock BWS, I've sent it to Jeremy a few times for some modifications. He's always quick and thorough, and makes my scoot run like a beast!

Mods done so far:
- PRD Exhaust
- Barrel ported
- Head modified (probably skimmed)
- Lighter rollers
- Clutch springs and main spring changed
- Malossi longer ratio gearset
- 28mm carb, custom intake manifold, auto-lube removed
- Bored, with 56mm piston (and barrel re-ported to compensate) - now 117cc
- Front shocks modified for harder bump

Just done 2000km on the latest setup and she's a beast! Pulls to 100km/h crazy fast and top speed is unknown, I run out of balls at around 130

Great job Jeremy! and thanks to Kevin at 2nd Gear for the carb!

I've met a guy in the Deep North, way behind the Boerewors Curtain, called Jannie 2-Stroke, who is reputed to be the man amongst men when it comes to this sort of thing.

Spy, also knows his sh!t, so I'm told ... but he's too busy working on Vespas these days

I apologise if I am hi-jacking this thread by asking a question, but here goes. I was at Jeremy this week, and I have a std BWS. I would like the extra power an exhaust will give, but i don't want the added noise.. I know, I know, I'm lame and all but the scoot will be spending time in camping sites, complexes and places where the noise is not appreciated. Is there any other option anyone knows of? Jeremy says that a std BWS just with a zorst is not too loud but I have no reference cos all of the ones I've heard have bigger carbs and ported etc and apparently that makes them louder.. I don't wanna spend the 4k and have to go back to stock again..

I'm sure Jeremy can repack the exhaust with a different material to get the noise down if you need it. One of my buddies received some complaints about his BWS (28mm Carb, Exhaust, Port job) and he had somebody else repack his exhaust - his scoot is much quieter now.
