Sym 150cc
« on: October 16, 2017, 10:59:02 AM »
Hi I am looking at getting a new scooter. I am looking at the SYM Fiddle 150CC. What i want to know is what is the performance difference between the SYM 150 and the Chinese 170CC scooters like the BigBoy 170CC. I have already done research on re ability thus I just want to know what is the performance difference between the two. I don't have a learners or a license yet thus i can't test drive them to see for myself.

The big boy rct 170 will have a higher top speed and better acceleration but the sym is of higher quality. I have the rct and shave used it for 2 years and have only had one small problem which cost about 500rand to fix. Excellent scooter.

Thank you for the reply I am drawn to the RCT and seems like a good scooter. I at first only wanted a SYM but the prospect of a 170cc engine seems tempting. My old Jonway a few years ago was actually reliable in the 2 years i had it. I was at Pitstop in Centurion to look a second hand scooter when the sales guy made me look at the BigBoy scooters. I think i need to take a test drive on both to be sure.

Yes, it is a good idea to test both out. I have a 150 and a 170 but usually use my 170 because of the better acceleration and slightly higher top speed.
