BWS vs Nitro - OPINIONS PLEASE
« on: November 29, 2017, 09:24:35 PM »
So, I've had my BWS (mint nick) for 3 yrs now. It's running the std carb, std piston, pincus pipe, jets, profiled head, air filter, lighter rollers, 2000rpm clutch springs, shock and braided front brake line. My Nitro has the same, bar some porting and a 56mm big bore. It flies! Albeit a bit tatty in areas.

And I've just bought a second std Nitro that's in mint nick.

My question is this:
1. Do I swap all the BWS go faster parts to the new Nitro then sell a std BWS. Which will leave me with x2 Nitros a minter and one slightly tatty.
- OR -
2. Do I swap the go faster bits from the tatty Nitro onto the newer mint Nitro, then sell the tatty std Nitro. Which will leave me with a mint Nitro and a mint BWS.

Sell the go faster bits to me, get rid of the Tatty Nitro and the BWS!

EDIT: You can only ride one scoot at a time!

Two mints are better than none!   :chance:
Home is where your bike sits still long enough to leave a few drops of oil on the ground.

Keep the BWS, especially if it's mint. They go for a fair price... If you ever urgently need cash, or decide to trade something in on another bike, then sell the BWS...

Also keep the mint Nitro.

How tatty is the other Nitro? Mechanically? If you can't get a good price for it, keep it as spares... Unless you need moola to buy more go faster bits...

It's not insanely tatty. I've powder coated a few parts. New fork seals, new tyres. The frame has some rust and the crankcase seal is leaking a tad. Maybe tatty is being unfair.

Advertise them all and whichever sells first is the correct one to have sold.
Life  should NOT be a journey to the grave with the  intention of arriving safely in an attractive  and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in  sideways - Chardonnay in one hand - chocolate in  the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO, what a ride!!"
