93 Vs 95 fuel for a scooter?
« on: April 23, 2018, 12:15:50 PM »
Hey guys, so I usually use 93 in my scooter but the petrol stations in my area are out of 93 so I was just wondering, would it be safe to use 95 in my scooter, or will it put more stress on and increase wear and tear on the engine?

95 is fine.I find using 95 the scooter has more oomph-will do no damage-bearing in mind that these are high compression engines so the highest octane is actually recommended. My scooter does seem to run quieter with 93 though.

I have noticed that the best fuel for my carburator Honda XR150L is Sasol.
The tests has been done multiple times with different brands of fuel and at this stage Sasol gives me the best cold start mornings and smoothest idle and ride.
I used BP 95 once as it was the only one available and bike still didn't perform as well as Sasol 93.
